CalSWEC’s Child Welfare Program supports future social workers through the Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Program and current social workers through training and education offered by the In-Service Training Coordination Project.

Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Program

The Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Program provides professional education and student support through its Title IV-E Stipend Program to graduate and undergraduate social work students preparing for the field of public child welfare. The program also supports the development of Curriculum Competencies for Public Child Welfare and Child Welfare Education Curriculum Resources.

In-Service Training Coordination

CalSWEC coordinates statewide training in collaboration with its partners for a number of projects, such as the California Common Core Curricula and the Statewide Training and Education Committee.
